At the end of July the litter was born which is the result of the cross between Tana and Puck. There are six puppies: 4 males and 2 females. They are growing very fast indeed. All six have names, this time inspired by constellations: Ursa, Polar, Sirius, Polux, Draco and Castor. Mother and pups are all fit and healthy. See photos in KBLQ07....(59) |

| 08/02/2010 Fantastic collaboration from Royal Canin Norway |
The Kobalaq team uses Royal Canin 4800 when the dogs are working at their hardest (since before 2003 when long distance began) RC4800 gives them the calories they need within a small volume of biscuits. The transport from our country of the food necessary for the Finnmarkslopet is not easy. We need to carry about 140kg during the 5000km, which represents both weight and consumption for the vehicle. This year we have had wonderful help from Royal Canin Norway, who have already left us the biscuits we need at Alta. We would like to publicly thank Royal Canin Norway for their generosity. | 08/02/2010 Many mushers withdraw from the Femundlopet |
There are many withdrawals from the Femunlopet 2010. This is quite normal. According to Jean Philippe Pointer’s friends there was very deep snow and winds. The two Spaniards competing: Salva Luque withdrew half way through the race (at the Sovollen checkpoint) and Javier Marina at 95km from the finish line (at the Tolga checkpoint)

Javier Marina and Salva Luque, have both arrived at Tufsingdalen, the first checkpoint of the Femundlopet. They left Roros at mid-day: the first at 12h09’and the second at 12h42’, and they have arrived at 18h12’ and 18h44’ at the checkpoint. They have run a total of 70km in around 6 hours. ...(232) |
