09/08/2010  Marçal Rocias and Laura Sacrest join the Kobalaq team
Marçal and Laura came into the world of mushing only a few years ago. They are passionate about the mountains and like Miquei they do all kinds of activities: rock climbing, caving, mountain climbing and, of course: mushing!...(51)

04/08/2010  The Kobalaq team continues to grow
At the end of July the litter was born which is the result of the cross between Tana and Puck. There are six puppies: 4 males and 2 females. They are growing very fast indeed. All six have names, this time inspired by constellations: Ursa, Polar, Sirius, Polux, Draco and Castor. Mother and pups are all fit and healthy. See photos in KBLQ07....(59)

08/02/2010  Fantastic collaboration from Royal Canin Norway
The Kobalaq team uses Royal Canin 4800 when the dogs are working at their hardest (since before 2003 when long distance began) RC4800 gives them the calories they need within a small volume of biscuits. The transport from our country of the food necessary for the Finnmarkslopet is not easy. We need to carry about 140kg during the 5000km, which represents both weight and consumption for the vehicle. This year we have had wonderful help from Royal Canin Norway, who have already left us the biscuits we need at Alta. We would like to publicly thank Royal Canin Norway for their generosity. We hope to be able to cross the finishing line for the seventh time!...(187)

08/02/2010  Many mushers withdraw from the Femundlopet
There are many withdrawals from the Femunlopet 2010. This is quite normal. According to Jean Philippe Pointer’s friends there was very deep snow and winds. The two Spaniards competing: Salva Luque withdrew half way through the race (at the Sovollen checkpoint) and Javier Marina at 95km from the finish line (at the Tolga checkpoint)
